For the most part, Today’s Martyrs leaves the inspiration as to the specific prayers to be offered on behalf of today’s martyrs to our readers.\u00a0 We do have a few places where we do ask for specific prayer.<\/p>\n

The first place is in the weekly commentary that is posted on the blog page<\/a> and is also received by our subscribers<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The second place can be found in most of the biographies on the People page<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Please pray<\/strong> for the Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, Buddhists, atheists, and others in India who are striving with Christians\u00a0to protect and preserve secular democracy and civil society in the face of religious extremism.\u00a0 Please pray for the success and\u00a0safety of\u00a0Ali Anwar, Amarjeet Kaur, Professor Apoorvanand, Digvijaya Singh, Harsh Mander. Raghuvansh Prasad Singh, Ram Puniyani, Shabnam Hashmi, and Vidya Bhushan Rawat.<\/p>\n

Please pray<\/strong> for Saud Alabdon, the Muslim driver for Fr. Antoine Boutros, the two went missing together\u00a0on July 12, 2015 near Shahba, Sweida, Syria; UPDATE<\/strong>: Fr. Antoine Boutros has been freed as of August 15, 2015, but Saud Alabdon is still missing.<\/p>\n

Please pray<\/strong> for the safety and success of\u00a0Dr. Sarah Ahmed, a Muslim dentist and executive director of Canon Andrew White’s former charity Foundation for Relief and Reconciliation in the Middle East<\/a>, who has been feeding and protecting\u00a0thousands of Christian refugees in the Kurdistan region of Iraq.\u00a0 Please pray for those of all faiths who are part of this important ministry.<\/p>\n

Please pray<\/strong> for Salah Sabdow Farah\u00a0and his family, colleagues, and students.\u00a0 Salah Farah was a teacher and assistant principal\u00a0who was shot by al-Shabaab terrorists when he and other Muslims\u00a0prevented them from killing Christians during the December 23, 2015 bus attack outside Elwak, Kenya,\u00a0and died in surgery on January 18, 2016.\u00a0 Before his death he said\u00a0\u00a0“People should live peacefully together. We are brothers. It’s only the religion that is the difference, so I ask my brother Muslims to take care of the Christians so that the Christians also take care of us. \u2026 and let us help one another and let us live together peacefully”.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
